No reg says you have to use all 11 of your drive time...but...if you do, you can be on duty as long as you want...you just can't drive again until you have had a full 10 hrs off (and are under 70 hrs in 8 days, in the US). The 14hr rule only governs when you can drive, not any other on duty time.

Sorry my last response was more for maybe experienced drivers that where having some boredom issues. Your ? Seems like it might be for a newer driver yes ? Plan out your day BEFORE you start driving down the road so when your 11 hours is up you have no problems finding a GOOD parking spot. Truckstops are the worst for sleeping so shopping centers , wallmarts , targets , lowes , home depots , dicks sporting goods etc etc ... i heard that Rand Mcnally gps units have a way of letting you flag a location that you can save in memory so next time your in that area you can remember where the good parking is at ??? Any others GPS units have that function ?
