All I can tell you on blue smoke is that mine went away after replacing injectors.
Ditto the algae - sure it's oil?Airman89 Thanks this. -
I just sent off an oil sample to a lab because I can't tell if fuel is mixing in with the oil at all. It really looked like oil to me. Algae will get in the fuel filters?

Do you change your own oil?....Back in the day it was commonplace to dump the used oil in the fuel tanks.....I used to always "top off" before I sent mine in for PM....I didn't think that happened much anymore though, especially with many garages using waste oil furnaces....

It's got to be algae. Go to a boat shop buy treatment and also carry about 4 extra filters with you. When that stuff starts breaking up it will clog a filter several times before clearing up. I'm serious carry two or three filters with you every day till problem goes away.

After checking into the fuel system more it turns out there is a hole in one of the tanks behind a metal tag. Could this be letting in an extreme amount of water and condensation causing my power issues?
