What I did my skills test with, pulling a 48’ spreadaxle flatbed.
81 gmc general, same color, stack in same spot on RHS door, but it had a turnout not Raincap.

    Split rims even!

When I started I can't remember there being a skills test. The boss would however properly chastise you for messing up a shift with the 5x4.

I fuel in Sw Arkansas. Primarily Love's or Magnolia Travel Center. Since I am a company driver and I don't pay for the fuel, it's no big deal. But since I've been back driving, I've driven Petes, a 378, a 386, and 2 different 579s and they are all within .3 mpg.
I know people think that tanks are somewhat aerodynamic, they actually are not. The ladder, the crash box and valves hanging down all are wind catchers. They are a lot better than a box driving in crosswinds though.

Apologize for being tardy on catching up with the posts —left my glasses at the eating establishment last night and couldn’t see #### — think that I would loose my ### if it wasn’t buttoned on with my belly button

For the last time. We don't want you. Go to Oregon or New Mexico.

I'm off from work today, and sitting at home drinking coffee.

I have nothing more to add......

Next time suggest he go to a salvage yard and get a solid/fixed seat. End of problem. Or a nail keg and a Walmart throw pillow.
Oops, nails don't come that way any more. My bad.

Love that solid piece tarp. I had a 32 foot for flat bed cotton. Real man makers they are.
