Saw a sign on the back of a car today. It read: Caution, Senior Driver
Now I have absolutely nothing against folks who want to be extra cautious and drive at, or slightly below the speed limit. Have at it, be safe I say. On the other hand, if you're dribbling into your morning and evening oatmeal, lack the ability to judge distance properly, can't see or have lost your reasoning capability, I say it's time to hang up the keys. I say this with no malice towards old folks. I inherited my love of driving from my dad. However, there came a time when he was a danger to himself and others when he took his car for a spin. One of the toughest things the siblings had to do was to take his keys away. After his initial heart attack, it was the final nail in his coffin. I'll forever remember the look on his face when we told him he wasn't going to drive again. Terrible, just terrible.

That's okay. That wind is drying out the rice ground.

Got the local tractor guy with a Gannon Box and his cohort with an end dump set up to build Blackie's driveway tomorrow.

The OM has us picking up Wednesday.

    Correction Belly Dump.

That's good. Some of our ground is along the river and it dries slow every year. The stuff on the west side is already down to seedbed and as soon as we know for sure we can get water and how much we'll fly the fertilizer on, flood, and fly the seed on. We worked up 85% of the available ground. I doubt if we'll get any more water than that.

    Well.

It’s been raining since about 2130, and was windy all yesterday, and calling for all day tain.

Good day to have tarp messed up and have to stand out there and manual crank while fighting against the motor.
    Need motivation.
