Tain, tain, more tain.

It was shaping up to be a pretty day until the storm cell started moving through "Eastern Arkansas and Western Tennessee".

My phone kept sounding tornado alerts.

Now parked at Love's in Calvert City, KY.

I managed to grab a coffee and a couple "gut bomb" cheeseburgers at a Phillips 66 that had truck diesel pumps. They actually weren't bad.

Looks like I snagged one of the last few spaces here. Thanks be to God.

The make-your-own-space club is stacking up on the outbound side of the pumps, seeing how close to the "foul line" they can park, without blocking any trucks that are just there to fuel and get gone.

Well, guess I'll call Missus Skillet to say goodnight, then hit the rack.

After eating and walking back to truck, and did I mention it was 75 degrees earlier and I had A/C on, and two speed fan on in sleeper, and then it changed to 47 and I’m stuck riding with AC on because this truck has water valve and when I parked I felt as if I had ice sickles from my mustache?

Anyhow, I noticed this... this... bullhauler has dropped his rack.


If it were my trailer, I’d be saying this big rip was some BS.

 

Kinda hard not to look when its Regular Unleaded going in my personal vehicle.

 

Did you give notice, or have second thoughts?

 

@homeskillet if you leave Loves on old 62 I believe it is, into Calvert City, about a mile or less on the RHS is a GREAT restaurant, the 50s cafe truck parking around back.

I used to haul a ton of liquid into that industrial park.

...some dude called wanting to know if I wanted to buy his straight box truck, it has a lift gate, but he said it jumps out of 3rd gear.

I’d like to have the storage of the box for tires, but I’d say with over 300k on a straight truck and a worn out transmission, it isn’t worth much.
