What if it Snows?

Since I no longer have my beard, it seems people try to take advantage of me.
This load is paying exclusive rate, DHed from Frontenac KS to Pine Bluff, AR to pick up the exact same type load, Brown Rice.

Left KS at 0400, got here at 10ish, lady said she couldn’t load me with out a wash out.
i told her, same load, going back to same place, Dude needs his product yesterday, quit holding up progress.

She refused to load, even with previous BoL stating.
I drove off, smiled and Dialed.
5-6 miles to fuel stop, calling dude as I drove out of Gate at Shipper.
Before I made it to Fuel stop, he called and said, Head back, they’re waiting on you.”
I told him after lunch, he said he was upping rate another $10/ton.

 

Well internet armchair diagnosis is output shaft bearing in the trannny. From a couple people who have forgotten waaaaay more than I’ll ever know about these bikes. And that requires major surgery.

I’m gonna do some more investigation and see if I can confirm.

I've got a hangover from all of the Juneteenth celebrating we did last night. Today I figured I'd make another assault on the U.S. Post Office.

Now allow me to brag a bit. My brothers tell me I don't have many skills at all. However, the one thing I can do is make a grumpy SOB smile, or defuse a tense situation...it's a gift.

So I'm standing in line at this gooberment site and I notice one of the employees has a particular sour puss on. AHHA, I say to myself, time to get to work. I keep my eyes on her desperately trying to get her attention so that I can shoot her a BIG Spindrift smile. No luck. Tough customer, but in reverse.

She was one of two ladies at the counter and I'm wishing upon a star that I get her when my time comes. HOLY CRAP...success as I walk up to greet her with a hearty "HELLO, darlin'"! "How may I help you?", she says to me in a monotone voice. Uh Oh...really tough customer with NO smile.

Well, I did my best, I gave it my all and not even a half crack of a smile...hardly any eye contact either. I'm here to tell you that I failed miserably. Maybe she caught me out of the corner of her eye taking one too many, very quick glances of her very large breasts. Noone will ever know.

I did not lose sight of the ball. My passport application is on its way to Philadelphia and I'll be able to continue to deliver Death Juice to our Canadian brethren.

The only thing, that is sometimes better than tacos is good old Tex Mex cheese and onion enchiladas with rice and beans. Lunch with my daughter at a hole in the wall Mexican Joint in Grand Prairie TX called Dallas Tortilla Factory off of Main St on the industrial East End.

 

A very large set deserves more than "quick glances"... Full on appreciative, then a guilty, gulp, return to their eyes. They really appreciate a man that looks them in the eye while speaking to them. They think it their eyes attracting you.

 

Go ahead and brag. I’ll just sit here enjoying my plain cheeseburgers from McDonalds.
