Is there any difference in how long the charge lasts using 120 vs 240? I don't know much about batteries but I have 4 deep cycle marine batteries on the boat and they recommend slow charging...alternator or trickle...vs a fast charge. They say the charge lasts longer and that the battery itself has a longer life if the slow charge is used.

Fuel cell technology is not really that new, they have been around for some time. The product available now is greatly improved over what was available just 5 years ago. Advanced materials and production coupled with better engineering have a major success in the capacity of them. The big hurdle is the infrastructure to support them as a viable energy source. Hydrogen production has its problems, the amount of energy needed to crack water is slightly more than the energy received. There have been a number of projects using solar power in various stages of development or construction. The big issue is can they produce at a level to meet demand. So far, this is untested. Will it be a long term solution, don’t think so. Again it is the byproducts that come into question. What do you do with them?

Nobody’s talking about hydrogen because it doesn’t fit the gooberment narrative.

Electric is the only acceptable alternative because it isn’t about the climate crap. It’s about controlling we the peasants and turning us all into subjects and anything that limits mobility or the energy supply is the best way to do that.

@Cat sdp that’s what the trucks used to look like after side swiping with steel bumpers.

    Now...?

Interesting thing about electric. Ford is laying off 8K workers due to their big push now towards E-Vehicles. As an expert said on TV today. The combustion engine is a lot more complicated than these electric ones. So if you switch to making all electric. Expect to have less people working at the companies.

Oh and our electricity. It's produced 2/3rds by coal/natural gas.

Right, but that fuel use is still perfectly ok because it isn’t being directly used by John Q. Public.

Slow charging is better for lead/acid batteries. Temperature extremes are problematic for them. A fast charge creates a lot of heat, basically boiling the electrolyte in the battery. This gets the sulfuric acid and water out of balance, along with potentially damaging the plates. It will definitely reduce the capacity and shorten the life of the battery.

I dont know about "Factory Recommendations"... But I run higher PSI in the rear in all my full size pickups, its all about how you load it... Its really personal preference. I run 55 PSI in the rear and 40 PSI in the front.
