Yep. Was looking at autos a little bit ago. One of the brands was comparing it to Subaru, an equivalent one to what we were looking at was about 50k.

Agree on the difference; but... Our 6-800 fat (mellow yellow) polled herefords sold as good/better than the Angus at auction.
May be an area variance or preference.

 

The price/profit difference is generated by the Marketeers post slaughter.

Ranchers may get less at the auction, but the marketing people will charge more at the meat counter.
