Chances of flopping a excavator over off a rgn are slim. To right yourself just swing your bucket over to the side and lift yourself up level,then spin your tracks back onto the deck. Easy peasy.

 

Loading the rgn is much less sketchy than loading a stepdeck with ramps. Always thought i was about to roll over at any point in time while up in the air on those ramps

 

I could see it happening with a loader especially if it's articulating and you don't get it straight on the trailer. Then trying to maneuver it straight on the deck. It would be easy to drop a tire off if ur not careful. But this can be avoided just like everything else in trucking, by getting out and looking 100 times or more to check if ur straight.

 

Well almost nothing is impossible. That's why you have spotters. An rgn when it's uncoupled is about 2 ft off the ground except at the back/ tires. You get proficient after awhile and can side load without unhooked.

If the equipment is that wide you should put up outriggers and widen your deck. When I loaded solo I'd drive up to the ramps GOAL where my wheels/tracks were as opposed to the edge of the deck. Get a bead on it and ease onto the trailer.
