Putin’s 'partial mobilization' has unleashed more turmoil at home than in Ukraine (yahoo.com)

Indeed, Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president and now the deputy chairman of its security council, had even warned on the messaging platform Telegram that any attack on Crimea would precipitate a “judgment day” response “very fast and hard.”

In the past several hours, flights out of Moscow have skyrocketed in price, with some carriers charging as much as $16,000 a ticket to travel to Dubai. And that’s on one of the few flights still available: All planes to visa-free countries were completely sold out, according to the Russian news portal RBC.

So, there's that. Good luck and best wishes fellas

No. It just dies down. I had a family member in the US military who did nuclear planning drills. Something to the effect of a "a bomb detonated in Chicago and the wind was" from that they produce a radioactive map for the weapon and altitude. Then and pass it out to the authorities and test the distribution system, ect... He told me 6 weeks. But the fires caused by the intense radiation. That's a problem like 8 to 10 miles from the center can burn with a big enough weapon and an air burst. Russia used to have a 20 megaton weapon, probably still does. I also taught HS for 6 years and chemistry for 5. Doesn't make me a nuclear scientist but I can guess in the right direction.

These people say hot spots for 1 to 5 years. Another site said the nuclear testing sites from the 50 s and 60s don't have much radioactivity.

    Radioactive Fallout

So stuff that's 60 or 70 years old doesn't have much radioactivity. So why wouldn't radioactive particles floating along that are days or weeks old not contaminate other things? I mean if you took a scoop of debris from inside of Chernobyl, why would it still contaminate everything?

Putin had an adversary killed by putin a grain of plutonium in his tea, Inside a club in the middle of London. They were able to trace everywhere the dude had been that brought it in all the way to the gate at the Heathrow from everything being radioactive. One grain.

Thats not the issue. Radiation won't affect us a bit. But the global freak out will.
Lots of pieces in this puzzle.

I would like to throw this tidbi into the conversation about radiation, wildlife seems to be surviving , may even be thriving , around Chernobyl. None to sure how credible the sources are , but there seems to be more than one report/article
