Looking at the WHY-OH-MING web cams. Looks deserted. Unfortunately do to the economy being run by tards, construction of The Davetro is delayed, where many freezing drivers could be sheltering enjoying some good food.

Teton Pass was bare!
Speaking of Teton Pass, it is very well posted with lighted signs from miles away that no trailers are allowed from November 15th through April 15th, and the same signs also state when the chain law is in effect (for 10 wheelers, box trucks, etc.- quite a few dump trucks go back and forth over the pass). Also, year-round there is a 60,000lb. gross weight limit.
A few weeks ago, but after November 15th, a new looking Dodge dually pulling a hotshot gooseneck out of Texas, with probably too much weight on it for a long pull up a 10% grade, caught fire about half way up the Wyoming side. The fire appeared to have started toward the back of the engine. I stopped and emptied fire extinguishers on it to no avail. Total loss.
Then last week during a heavy snowfall a Volvo pulling a flatbed with a load of snowmobiles spun out without chains on about a third of the way up the Wyoming side. He was in good hands though as a nice gentleman driving a Wyoming Highway Patrol SUV was parked behind him helping him out.
I know that GPS shows this route as the most direct route to get to southeast Idaho from Jackson or coming across 26, but please don't blindly follow GPS instructions on this hill. It seems like there are at least a dozen or more instances of semis getting in trouble on that hill every winter.
I suspect most all of everybody on this thread is either aware of it or smart enough to actually read the signs, but boy there are a lot of folks that just ignore the big lighted signs sitting directly over the travel lanes, at the intersections where the choice is made as well as at the bottom of the hill.RidgeRunner731, DeereRunner97, 4mer trucker and 13 others Thank this. -
Actually not bad at all as it was cool enough for the snow to be a bit tacky.DeereRunner97, 4mer trucker, JoeyJunk and 8 others Thank this.

What number Highway is that pass? I had enough fun treking thru those mountains North of Jackson couple years ago when @Cattleman84 routed me thru there. Detoured up from I 80DeereRunner97, 4mer trucker, JoeyJunk and 9 others Thank this.

WY 22, turns into Idaho 33 at the border.

@Cattleman84 probably routed you up from Rock Springs? You would have met up with 26/89 at Hoback Jct. and run down the river to Alpine. It's probably about 15 miles north of there to Jackson, and that is where you would catch 22.DeereRunner97, 4mer trucker, Dale thompson and 8 others Thank this.
