My Pops was an engineer for Bell Helicopter and out in the field there was heavy usage of WD-40 for different task and repairs. So, Pops put a team of engineers on it to see if this was the best repair for the A&P mechanics to do for the safety of the Helicopters. The team could not get a consistent batch of WD-40 chemically for a control the stuff would very between the same case of cans.

Pops reported the finding to WD-40 and the CEO told him so what we sell all we can make and it would cost too much to have a strict standard in every can. Therefore, he put out a statement that said stop using WD-40 on All Aircraft Repairs and to use ATF / Acetone in a 50/50 mix

 

Soon enough, and it's already in play, there will be ZERO "Ladies" and "Mens" rooms because such singular designations will become
