When I was in high school we had a shop teacher that was a real dick. He had an elco that he was awfully fond of. One day we tied a 3/8” nut to the driveshaft with some monofilament. Once he got up to about 15-20 mph the line would stretch tight and the nut would beat the underside of the car. It made the awfuliest racket.

he eventually found out I had done it. Think I got a couple days vacation for it.

I've always read where Deer Whistles were right up there with Bug Zappers for the biggest scams on consumers.

We got some torrential tain from those Severe Thunderstorms last night.

I'm not sure what it's like outside, but I predict "fugly".

Just sitting here slurping my coffee and playing with my "furry grandson". I took today off to go to an interview.

Things aren't going well at the shop.

The increased pay conditioned on my completion of certain OEM certifications has failed to materialize.

The company is making what I consider to be an ill-advised move from a paid-for building which has been in continuous operation as a forklift repair facility since the 1960s, to a warehouse facility that needs extensive renovation to adapt it for our use.

Kinda sucks. I had high hopes for this job. I thought I finally landed where I could work up to decent pay, spend the next seven years punching the clock and stuffing my 401(k), then pack up my toolbox and go home, take a few days off, and start making the rounds of the local ice rinks to start my retirement career as a zamboni driver, skate sharpener, and snack bar attendant.

Well, anyway. At least there's plenty of food in the house, and I don't have any trash water dripping down my neck......

Got the ole boy buried about 1700 last night, had to call a couple of farmers that farm the area, the all knew him too, he’d walk the 4 miles cross country to their shop, even cross the two lane, but everyone around knew him cause he roamed, he’d stay at their house lying in the yard for 2-3 days before making his rounds back home.
He’d never go to their (neighbors) house, guess the animals can judge people too theory was proven.

Still one in Hope, Arkansas. Have bought a new freezer, stove and dryer from them. Free delivery the next day and no charge to haul away the old ones.
