Day 2 down... My feet are killing me. Had to dig out some very old steel toed boots for this job... They are shot. Today I hobbled off the floor like I was walking on freshly blown off stumps. My brother in law (aka my direct supervisor) offered me a pair of his old one that are still in good shape, and another guy gave me a set of gell insoles. I now have modest hopes that I will be able to walk vs hobble to my pickup tomorrow after my shift.

As to why we participate, i think i can speak for SoulScream84 ....simple: there's folks here we enjoy BS'ing with. As for starting a new thread, I actually thought about that, but after taking a poll among my asteemed colleagues, the consensus was: F that, everybody's already here and we ain't runin!....If Dave does enjoy it, ( which I think your right and he does), then who cares? He participates too!.... And to clarify, about your and Tramm's posts about this being "his house", this is a public forum, just like on the CB so decorum don't fit, ain't a private discussion..... I've never disrespected you or Tramm or anyone else cept'n Mr. Dave which he brought on, and I'll continue to respect y'all till you give me a reason not to. Hell i think if we had a chance to sat down and drink a beer together we'd get along well!....but, it's like you said to each his own.

Before I went OTR steel toe was all I ever bought... But the ones I really liked are no longer made. So I need to try and find some new ones that meet my needs...

Minimum of 9" upper, 13" prefered

    Lace up

    2" heel

    Steel toe

    No square toe

No waffle tread, mostly flat with only modest tread.

My friend Sgt. Jarrett said it this way:
    "You don't feed, f###, rate or promote me, so I don't give a s###."
