I was glad I saw a gas station with "never forget 9 11 2001" in Indiana driving on US 30 on the electric bill board.

Growing up in the 50s, Castor Oil was a normal cure all. Didn't take me too long to know not to say I was feeling bad. Lol

We got unloaded and has arrived at the secondary target.

Two trucks in front of us. We only have 3 pieces. Dude in front of us has 6.

May need to eat the emergency salad or other sustenance.

Same here except it was home made cod liver oil for stomach problems. Our people believed in emetics. Making the cod liver oil involved boiling down fish liver, not always cod, sometimes shark or halibut, and was done outside. If you got downwind from that little operation you'd know it. A couple of spoonsful of that stuff and you'd throw up things you ate last year.
We got Witch-Hazel, Calamine lotion, or rubbing alcohol for the skin stuff. When we were kids we knew better than to complain about being sick.

Tain has subsided, as has the pre-polar vortex temperatures.

I do respect and honor those that took on the duties and responsibilities of first responders and disaster recovery. They have served the affected people well and deserve recognition.

It would be appropriate for the media to do a short remembrance throughout the day so that the conversation within the community can rekindle.

The schools should be doing short basic age appropriate history bits today so the kids can ask there parents and grandparents about it.

An outsiders perspective on that event:

A good percentage of the people that where old enough to be aware of the events that day have died as part of regular life.

I remember that day more as the day I swore off mass media.

I was 3000 miles away and had no friends or family involved. It was a non issue for me. I resent the media for putting the general population into a zombie state. The primarily music local station opted to go 24/7 babbling, so I changed the stereo in the shop to the 100 CD carousel to give my customers a break from the media beat down. I observed more harm to the nation from the media than from the terrorists.

There was a lot of mis-information that morning.
