My kind of gals. Not ashamed to drink during the day in the front yard while advertising it. Probably get loose and crazy later in the evening.

So, before I decided to come to Landstar, I searched youtube for videos about Landstar. Most were neutral or positive. The minute I decide to come over to Landstar, I search for videos about Landstar and every negative horror story you can imagine pops up. People struggling to make it. People complaining about favoritism. People saying that over 80% of the loads pay less than 2 dollars a mile before Landstars cut. What? 1.30 a mile with the cheapest fuel being 4 plus a gallon? That's insane. And the one I just saw said the average weekly settlement at Landstar is 1500 dollars. What? I can make that on 4 loads at Schneider easy just going back and forth to California even now although its a crap shoot getting out of Phoenix.

But, I'm on course. I'm not going doom and gloom yet but a little discouraged to say the least. No, I'm not looking for cheering up just venting. I definitely don't think I'll share too many details if it goes south because maybe they look at this online negative stuff and take it out on you. The one rule I just learned about Landstar that I don't know how I'm going to deal with is NO PARKING ON THE STREET AT ALL. This shocked me. You don't know how many times I've shown up at a shipper where you have to wait on the street for 8 hours just to get in a dock. This seems very unreasonable to me given my years in trucking. I'll figure it out or I won't I suppose. Good thing I can live on a subsistence income if I have to at this point but that doesn't help for saving up for repairs.
