Most oil these days are a synthetic blend from what I've seen, but I still do 5k mile oil changes regardless what the oil life monitor says. Sludge causing poor oil flow to the overhead is still a thing, especially on vehicles that don't see some steady highway miles.

18 degrees here but still traffic sucks. When will the masses wise up and migrate to the sunbelt? Thankfully the burning of hydrocarbons has the indoors very comfortable (raises middle at Greta) and more hydrocarbons will be burned to clear a dusting of snow from driveway.
