I’m pretty sure that’s the way i was gonna go. Delivered one load this am, went to get a shower at the j in Patterson. Dispatch calls and gives me another load about 3 hrs away, no biggie just get it scale and call it a night. Well go to pick it up, guy ahead of me had my numbers and our office had his paperwork filled out. I give my numbers they tell me he has mine and that my paperwork isn’t filled out. Had to done by the office. So back and forth we go, the person that booked the load went home for the day since it’s 3 hours ahead. I got rejected, night dispatch called it cancelled. Have to talk with my DA in the morning and figure it out. What a waste of time. And fuel.

Last year I talked to an old hand who drove a circus wagon back in the 80s. He didn't say anything about the pay but his eyes lit up when I mentioned "the Monfort Lane." He said they did indeed run hard.

Odd thought, if you fart in the hot tub but it’s a bit of a shart, does the hot water and bubbles count as cleaning the cheeks?
