Sorry for the late reply Dale. Late 50s & early 60s Plymouth Fury. Had the oval shaped steering wheel.

Yeah that would be a good idea. Especially the oil.

    Note to self.

Backing up the gaming laptop to external HD is good idea, but NOT while waiting.

Mine is about 2/3’s done after 2 hours.

Remember that youtube video with the two Swift riding side by side on I-10 in AZ and another truck passes them on the shoulder?

    We’ll be seeing that everywhere.

My grandpa had an old VW Rabbit with a diesel, and 1 day it ran wild on him going east on the PA turnpike. He roared through the toll both at 80 mph.:biggrin_25523: I would have loved to watch that entire trip, because I CANNOT imagine him driving that fast!

Sounds like the 90 model lincoln i had, well close, if the battery died you had to let it idle like 30 minutes to regain memory.
Boosted it, took off. (didn’t know you had to let it idle that long)
Throttle didn’t lower, figured it was stuck, floored it, that’s where throttle position figured that’s where it should be.

So about 5 miles car stuck with throttle on floor, knowing the road was going to get curvy i decided just to throw it in N, if it swarmed it’d be better than crashing through a forest.
So did that it still high idle, then went on turned key off and got it stopped.

To paraphrase the late great Thomas Paine...

Technology, like government, is at best a necessary evil, and at worst an intolerable one.

Trying desperately to gather some form of motivation........and failing.

I did force myself to get coffee.
