Does anybody want to guess the cost of the items in this photo? L to R
    1. Dexcom G6 Transmitter (has a receiver but I don't use one, use iPhone) (Require 1 every 3 months.)
    2. Dexcom G6 Sensor patch. (Require one every 10 days)
    3. A 1000-unit vial of Novolog rapid-acting insulin. (Lasts about 15 days)
    4. Onmipod-5 insulin pump. (Last 3 days)
    5. Omnipod Controller (that is NOT a smartphone).

    1. The last one I bought cost my insurance $325 ( I need 4 of these a year) I paid a small co-pay.
    2. The last Box of 3 cost my insurance $190. I paid a small co-pay.
    3. The last vial cost my insurance $39. I paid a small co-pay
    4. Two boxes 10 pods in total cost my insurance $620. I paid a small co-pay.
    5. The controller comes in the starter kit. Kit has the controller and a box of 5 pods. Not 100% sure because I can't get a clear figure, but that starter kit seemed to be around $550, thankfully I only need one.

    $1300 for transmitters a year
$760 for sensor patches a year
    $975 a year
    $7440 a year
    Total $10,475 a year or a bit over $872 a month.

This does not include my other meds.

Folks, don't allow yourself to become a diabetic.

Thank you for sharing that info. It puts some numbers to the gov't/media claims.

I have always kept an eye on sugar consumption because dad's dad was an insulin using diabetic. And Mom's mom was borderline Hypoglycemic. Was never confident which way I would fall.

Haven't visited a doc, other than for DOT physicals, in a couple of decades. I finally swung by the local doc this week and got the paperwork to fill out to become a client. Blood sugar regulation was on my punch list of things to check.

This may motivate me to do the paperwork to start the indoctrination process for the modern commercial medical system.

    OMG

Now we've crossed into Michigan. It's like a nightmare we can't wake up from.

Why a person passes a door, to patronize another store?
