Most places use overhead cranes to load and unload. It’s difficult to lay it down and not mark or mar the coil. Some places still use special forklifts to pick them up. But those have a big round bar and pick from the center of the coil. It prevents damaging the steel. Most eye to the sky coils are small and banded to a skid. Those tall skinny ones are sketchy.
