The '67 had a 327 small block, 275 HP iirc but lots of torque, 2 speed Powerglide. It was sold as the towing package, basically a half ton pickup with four doors and a big trunk instead of a box. That car taught me what axle hop is. They changed the shocks the next year to prevent it, one on each side of the axle instead of both on one side.

It was very fun to catch up to Ma and Pa Kettle cruising at 55 on a 2 lane then move left and floor it. It would kick down to first gear and roar, then clunk into second and take off like a rocket, next thing you know you're going 100 and weren't really trying.

The kid I bought it from had put on oversize tires and had started to do some body work so it had Bondo patches on it. Very attractive, but it only had 60,000 original miles on it in 2003. Had sat for years on a ranch in Wyoming, kid bought it at 30,000 miles and drove it another 30k.

One time I took my daughter for a ride across South Park on Highway 24 to Hartsel. There's not a lot of traffic out there, or wasn't 20 years ago anyway. On the way back we were cruising along windows down at dusk at about 90 on the speedometer when a CSP bear passed us going the other way. I saw him flip a turn in my mirror so I let off the gas but too late. He said he clocked me at 96. I said, What if I told you I forgot the tires are oversize so my speedometer is off? He said, That would be another ticket. He was basically cool, but he did write the ticket and I paid it later.

Sold that car to a buddy not long after when I moved out east. He wrecked it while driving drunk. It's the only car I really regret selling, and I've owned a few.

Sunday thru Thursday, 3p-3a, hourly pay.

Low hourly, but more than I'd make working for Lazer Spot.

Still gonna work out to a little moar than I made going regional, on account of it's a steady, predictable amount, instead of those wild swings of grossing $2200 one week, and $800 the next.

I'll be okay, as long as I can keep my head outta my arzole.....time to hit the rack.

We has arrived at our first receiver.

The OM is labeling this receiver as non-indigenous. The sign with arrow that says," <------------ RECEIVING" is wrong. It shoul point strait ahead.

This is what happens when you use non union sign makers.
