Is it a pull the rope start or an electric press the button start. If the later, you may need to put it on a charger.
Consider some chemtool B-12 cleaner. Get a few cans. If you have any fresh fuel, about 25% B12 in and Fill the tank with it, Start it and let it run for a while to get the stuff through the system. If your going to store any fuel for a while, do use the stabil and add some B12 to it.
