    Marking time...
    I remember my arrival in the PI with US Army in1959. I was the "New Guy."
    3 days later someone else came in and I happily greeted his arrival with " Hi New Guy".
    I was jerked back to reality by an "Old Guy".
    "Roger; New Guy my ###, you are so new you are still peeing stateside water."

    (An Old Guy was one; who when within 30 days of rotation home, bought a 5th of Canadian Club. Took the litttle ribbon off it;
    laced it thru the top buttonhole of his uniform khakis, and proudly wore it till he boarded the MATS flight home.
    Full colonel commanding the unit wore one in time.)
