    Detailed situation..
The parts; the adapter's, to make up the recently purchased (fully complete/no batteries needed/ easy assembled) latest and finest XL Cactus Hydration devise for truckers struggling to satisfy dispatch expectations.

    Simplified...
OM said lets get on the stick (road) here and make some coin for purchase of my sustance. One more trip to the fittings shop, then the Cacti can FUGITABOUT IT. They die, they die, lets roll....

I think Dave should have called the Cactus Dude it would be done, and the Cactus Dude has proven reliable in the past.

Agree on the recommend for home hospice if readily available. If not, transfer to a full facility. Two things; to make life as safe and comfortable for him, and next.. equally important is your health/strength. No gain to have you get down and be unable to care for him a all.
Some experience here, with dad prostate cancer in 1950, mother stomach cancer colostomy in 84, wife ulcer surgery in 2011.
Dad home, morphine every 8 hours, mother the bag and 2 sisters lived with her and cared, wife.. operation failed..

If no home service available, consider something like in the link below. Where my girls would put me as they are in KY.
I have had several friends/classmates moved in here, visited several. A1 looking at it from this side. Prayers up for you both.

Well had to call the medics. They came, dads gasping for breath, still not eating, barely drinking anything. They wanted to take him to hospital. he said No, tomorrow doctors appointment.
I tried telling him to go, my uncle/his brother tried.. but no, tomorrow. I told him no way could I carry him down the hall and get him in the vehicle by myself.

But they instead gave him a steroid in an iv, and had him breath some stuff I can’t pronounce let alone spell, that supposed to help him breath… he’s not gasping, but still breathing hard. The my tried to get him to go. But nope.

Said if I called back and he was wheezing again they’d take him, but until then.. I’m still here without being able to get him to eat/drink.

Tried to get him to allow them to take them, but he’s not going.

    So here we sit.

    Sad news indeed.
Wondering, have you considered that he has a very good idea/feeling that his time is coming to an end and doesn’t want to be in a hospital when it does. Maybe it would be good to ask him about that.
