Always something hard to prepare for even if one knows it’s coming.
I’ve always been more fond of dogs than most people, and remember them all, even have a notebook at home with the dates I buried them, and buried all but one, lil bud, which back in 2016 someone swerved into the yard and ran over, according to their tracks.
I was out on the road, got a call when I was in Kentucky and told.

He’d sleep anywhere, as you see, and wasn’t afraid of anything.
I still got their toys put up, all but one, which they’re buried with, usually in their bed.

Ok I got ya. A long logger trailer in built different than any thing else. When you go in mty it's deck on the tractor.

    When lowered on the ground.

The solid bar a Reach hooks to the tractor with a pintle hook. After loading the driver unlocks the compensator latch which allows it to slide in and out of the Reach.

These trucks are the Ferrari of trucks when it comes to handling. There's more but that's the basics. You are now an official Timber truck driver. Beaver slides, goat trails,20% grades, hair pins and throwing Iron in 2 feet of Mud or Snow. You got this.

I'd just add that the amount of frame sticking out behind the drivers is key to little or no off-track.

This does effect the off track some. However, I said there's more. When it gets real tight corners and the off track becomes crucial you can loosen the Reach bull pin on the trailer so it will also slide through the trailer.
