Well, Houston sucked as I remembered it. Then took beltway 8 to miss the fustercluck downtown. Then at Shepard some empty flatbed crashed into back of pickup. So I made it to Carthage, out of hours.
Was gonna pick up a load to SD, but sis called to say she’s out of blood pressure meds cause we wait til we’re out before saying anything.
She’s lost her wallet, no ID so I get to DH 600 miles from Freeport tx back home.
Not quite halfway, but oh well…

Was looking at records. Cheapest was seventy five (75) cents a gallon Aug. 2002. Highest was two twenty four( 2.24) a gallon sept. 2008. When I moved here in 2018 it was one fifty nine (1.59) a gallon.
