Just got a call.

“Can you run back tonight, reload 215 miles away at 0700, and be back there tomorrow night?”

“No.”

“Why!”

“My 0700 became a 1500. I’m still not empty yet.”

“But..but.. the load?!”

“If they need it so bad, they’ll be glad to get it no matter the time.
I can unload, hit the pillow, grab a nap, reload tomorrow and be back tomorrow afternoon.
No sense in running all night for something that can be done tomorrow.
Time is time.”

“But you can unload tomorrow!!”

“This place is 24 hours. I can reload and be back tomorrow and do it legally, not driving all night/day giving us professional grain unloading specialists a bad name.”


If I left now, it’d be after 0100... add an hour for unload.
I see no sense on the matter.

 

Have you put some good injector cleaner lately?
Doctor it with auto transmission fluid, not the synthetic junk, fill fuel up, put a quart half/half in each tank, it’ll smoke a bit, burning carbon off, bit it’ll line out.
