Got my truck out of shop, they couldn’t find anything wrong that would cause noise I was hearing, so I’ll run it til it breaks so it’ll show itself, and I have hurt feelings again.

On the way to pick up the truck, the radio was on, and everyone goes to singing to the radio all out of sync, so I asked if they wanted to know what they really sounded like...

    So, I’m the bad guy.

That’s as bad as the Waitress who sings along with the music, while re filling coffees. Hoping to be discovered I’m guessing? Fishing for compliments on her singing voice? All the while ruining the song that’s playing. Beware of the attention seeking waitress. Lol. Her baggage has baggage.

I always did think it was good to be recognized when away from home.
Even for deficient backing, gotta take it where you can nowadays.

Well, I successfully loaded up for NC.

Went back across the street to our terminal to get fuel, because the rassemfrassem who used my truck yesterday didn't fill it, or empty his/her/their/its trash.

After 4 tries, my fuel card doesn't work.

Go to find the TM, wait for him for about 10 minutes. Get new fuel card.

It takes 30 minutes (or more) to activate, via e-mail to the Corporate Orifice.

And when it IS, in fact, activated, if it won't work at the terminal, I gotta head out to NC and stop at the first truckstop I come to, 'cause I'm low on fuel.

What a "comedy" of errors today has been. I think I'm gonna lie down on the bunk for a half hour........

Our basement will flood with 6 inches of icey water if we dont have electricity or if the pump fails. Thankfully anything in the basement that uses fire is now above the water line on cinderblocks, The pump is the very back end of the basement. The clean part of the wall is the waterline.

The trash on the floor was from the flooding.

Another wasted day today, boats have been delayed coming in, and the Port of Portland had been slow to unload boats.....

Told the boss that there was no point in scheduling a second driver till the containers moved from the ship to the yard. Now that the containers are showing as in the yard, we have a cup of coffee bet on if they will release for pickup at 1500 today (port closes for truck entry @ 1600) or 0700 in the morning. I'm betting 1500 so they can start with the demurrage fees sooner.
