    I heard the term "Super-Solo" while I was driving for Roehl. Roehl didn't have much Team freight so the husband/wife teams that were with Roehl did a lot of solo runs as a team. The company allowed them to stay as a team so they could stay with the company. They got a little more than a regular solo driver, but not much. But, they were happy being together on the truck and not getting worked to death.

    Gitana's post covered it. My wife and I ran in this capacity for a few weeks as a company requirement while I trained her. They'd give us 700-1400 mile loads during this time.

    Now we run solid team, 6000 in 5 days . . . and sometimes at 4am that freight just has to wait a little longer . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :)

    I think "Super Solo" is a term invented after they started cracking down on HOS. Before that it was simply "Solo"... ;)
