Well once someone called him out on the “rookie” move that it was he’s seemed to have moved on. That’s exactly what it was though, the camera in my truck records an event after just a few distance warnings so I’m prone to do the same thing, as a matter of fact this same thing happened to me a few weeks back with the guy playing cat and mouse with me, times have changed out here and it sucks that some guys don’t respect that. Unfortunately it’s not the old days anymore, a lot of us “old timers” like me are simply trying to adhere to company standards and when you start playing stupid games like that we look for the path of least resistance, hopefully the OP will learn some respect as he gains experience.

consider this: you're often part of the problem if you hang another truck out in the hammer lane for 10 minutes because you can't knock your cruise control down 2 mph for 30 seconds.

    it takes 2 to tango.

And if someone is gaining about 3 feet per minute on me, he has no business (or common sense) trying to pass me.

Roberts450 and MTN Boomer Thank this.

If only. Usually the idiot willing to be in the left lane for 10 miles is the same driver that can't maintain speed. If he's unwilling to drop one MPH down on his cruse, he's also the type that will willingly make me drop 5 MPH just so I don't have to play his speed up, slow down games.

Roberts450, TokyoJoe and Moosetek13 Thank this.

    Agreed.

But think about the trucker stuck behind him that can go a lot faster.

If he was going 70-75, but now has to slow down to 65 for 10 minutes... That driver loses a lot more than you lose slowing down 2MPH for 30 seconds.

ah yeah, you guys are absolutely right. 2 wrongs make a right. you keep teaching those guys a lesson while we all sit in hammer lane waiting to pass.

Was the road wet or did it still have residual sand from the snow plows? Probably didn't want their windshield fouled by the spray of the water or the pits the sand will put in the windshield from your trailer tires kicking up junk.

My favorite part is when they go all out to pass with their 65 miles per hour then jump out in front braking, to take the next exit forcing me to slow down again; if they had just stayed behind, their place in the universe would have been exactly the same without affecting me.

I've said it before..it's common courtesy if someone has caught up to you and moves left to pass use your good judgement and back off, let him pass. No need to block out others..
I don't care if he has taken 100 miles to catch me. He's going faster than me, even just a bit, I'm brushing off some speed to assist the pass.
