I've observed that while walking right up to a kiosk to get my receipt with no wait at the fuel desk/pizza bar.

TA/Petro. Flying J wouldn't be so bad but I hate that they have to announce over the LOUD speakers everytime a shower customer is ready. There's a J down in Tennessee I think it is, a Wendy's next door that is part of the J, they even announce all up in there that Shower #1 is ready, Please proceed to shower #1.
I asked the girl where the shower kiosk is. She said, next door at the J. I asked if they announce it over here in case a driver swipes his card and runs full blast over the Wendy's, maybe that's why they tell it over the loud speaker so in case he is Superman and can swipe that fast and move 200 yards he will know his shower is ready.
I mean it is fricken annoying to hear that every time you walk in. The worst is where you have 4-8 drivers waiting with their shower bags for their number to come up and the loud speaker says- Welcome to Flying J, Please park your truck and come in for a clean hot shower. There is currently no wait for a shower"
Or-- "Can I please get a courtesy check on the men's and women's restrooms please?" I heard that and had to laugh because 4 hours prior when I had been in there , there were no paper towels in the dispenser and there still were none.
Another annoying thing is the lines at Pilot Flying J. I don't care what time of day or night you go in there you will wait in line even if you are the only one in there. If they see no on standing in line, they will leave out behind the counter and wander the store doing odd little jobs.Chinatown Thanks this. -
There was a peelot manager that came to TTR asking for ways to improve his store.
I suggested to him that he have his wife and kids come in and use the showers as well as he and his employs. Then to come back and let us know how his/their experience went.....
We never heard back from him. -

I forgot all about Little America. I miss the breakfast muffins and the super strong coffee. That is always a nice place to make it to when they shut down the interstate in the winter.

How about the best Stop in North Carolina and Ohio?

I will have certain truckstops in certain states that I like. Little America is awesome. Across I10, Frog City in Louisiana and the Oasis in Bama. I like that truckstop behind the scale in Lamar, Co. That one on 30 in Gurden,Ar with the biggest parking lot this side of the Iowa 80, and you can still get an adult beverage if you want.
Speaking of the mom and pop joints...there are thousands of them on the two lanes in the cowtowns. Yes, you have to idle your trucks and keep the windows up to avoid the smell coming from the locals, but the food is great and there's always parking.
