Gross is easily doable. About 55 or so hours puts me around $1800.

Because we want to know how much a driver at Saia (or for that matter any company) can and actually do make. Talking is one thing. Showing is another.

For example, here at UPSF, we have a suck#$@#$ starting wage of $17.20 $17.40 after 90 days. HOWEVER, what likely happens in a lot of cases, depends on terminal, is that you'll get a lot of hours---and overtime which is now $25.20 or something and thus you could still do ok.

Conversely, what good is $28 and .72 cent a mile if you're not getting any miles?

So, you can see that talking about "examples," / what a driver "could" make vs. actual grosses are two very different things.

Another thing. The more we talk about wages, the more every company know about every OTHER company's wages, the more wages go up.

Well in the case of these five runs they are real easy going , first one dispatches out between 7 and 8 am, with the other four following suit at staggered times, with the last one dispatching between 1 and 2pm, 304 mi out 304mi back, interstate 10 all the way, one run is a M thru F, the other four I believe are T thru S, there is also one run that goes in the same direction that's 291mi out 291mi back, I think it's cool because for what it lacks in miles compared to the other five, it has one less scale to deal with and overall a little shorter day if the meet goes right, I have covered these runs but I am almost certain I will never see one as a bid, we have what I consider a young linehaul board overall.

Oh and I for one don't feel any better than you or anyone else, I am just another driver who feels fortunate to have a job and can be replaced at any time, I imagine from the sounds of it, you have done your fair share of hard running in your time.

Ok fine, but it doesn't change the fact that my pay stub is my personal stuff, yeah, yeah, yeah it's all anonymous on here, sorry but I don't feel my company would appreciate me posting pay stubs if you want to know the truth, I get what you are trying to do, but make no mistake about it the companies already know what other companies are paying, they don't need paystubs to see that.

Look, I am very well aware of the woes at UPSF, while I am not a member I do read what's going on in the trucking world on that other site as well, that $17 hr deal is a contract issue, you know it and I know it, the fact that 77% of your fellow employees voted yes might have something to do with that, UPS isn't going to change that by looking at what everyone else is paying, why should they, it's negotiated , it's done until the next 5 years comes around, yes I imagine. 72cpm/$28hr doesn't do much on short runs, but I imagine a company of UPSs size probably has a linehaul engineering department like FedEx, and I would venture to say their first or primary concern is not how many miles a driver is getting on their run, I would guess their priority is time, efficiency and money, that's what they are concerned about, but I could be wrong.

My wife and I team for R+l carriers. 4 yeara now. We make $1920 gross each per week. We get two full days off on Sunday and Monday. We also have a dedicated run that gets us 3 to 4 hrs at our house. Other Ltl teams pay about the same or more. Just to be clear the 1920 gross is per driver. I get 1920 a week and my wife gets 1920 a week. Our run is 545 miles each way. I get $384 and she gets $384. Its a turn and burn meaning we meet another driver en route and drop and hook.
