Not Bada$$, but getting paid to hold a steering wheel while I listen to audiobooks makes me feel like I'm putting one over on someone. Still can't believe this is a real job.

Making it across Wyoming in bad winter weather the first time. Seeing the electronic signs in Western Wyoming "Strong Winds and Blowing Snow Ahead" and being completely ignorant of what it was going to be like. 50 MPH winds with blowing snow that you could barely see past the hood of the truck between Rawlins and Laramie. The good thing was nobody could go over 5 MPH in the low visibility sections. Hard to get into a wreck going that slow.

Driving out West during Winter for a couple of years with an ungoverned engine & 13 or 18 speed manual. I forget which I had.

I feel like a badarse when I show up 15 minutes for work to get to my appointment 30 minutes early. When I'm cordial and respectful at the guard shack and the attitude is reciprocated. When I nail the back in to the 96" docks built in 1970's even though we are all 102" wide now. When I'm already in the left lane because I know the on ramp traffic needs to merge. When I obey the "All Trucks Must Use Truck Lane" sign even though, apparently, I'm the only driver who can still read English. Or the other drivers just don't care as it would slow them down.
And finally, when I park my horse in the yard at the end of the run and she's in the same condition that she was when the run began, same for the trailer.Accidental Trucker, Lav-25, Feedman and 6 others Thank this. -
