A company recently asked me if I'd deliver small Packages for them. They're having issues with whoever they're currently using. I have no idea what to charge, Maybe hourly, although I do not like hourly. I have not done hourly work now for several years. Any advice is welcome. thanks
What to charge for small package deliveries?

You could try getting some quotes from FedEx, UPS, USPS etc to get a feel - like, take a cubic foot box weighing 20lbs into each store and see what it costs to ship it to a similar location that your customer is requesting . . .

cost plus.......

All of those types of companies have a formula for calculating freight cost.
For instance, DHL's is length*width*height/5000
Which would make a 50 lb, 1-foot square box 13 volumetric pounds.
Their standard international overnight rate for the same package is $322.68 from Chicago to Winnipeg (just to give you an idea). -
Ok let's hear some details because all those answers you get mean nothing without understanding what you are doing and with what.Ruthless Thanks this.

I would do like a cartage company does and charge a %of there gross.usally around 30% if your pretty much just staying local put that is freight . You might have to adjust for package especially if your pickup and deliver you would at least double the 30%
