That really depends on a lot of factors
Brand , maintenance, idle time , how hard it's been worked .
I'd expect a overhaul at around a million but not a sure thing

The cheaper the truck means its usually overhauled sooner than 1m mIles. But like Driver dad said it really depends on how the truck was cared for and driven. Freightliner trucks rarely make the 1m mile mark before being retired or overhauled while KW and PB usually last closer to the 1m mark depending on how they were treated.

What! ? Lmao ...since when does truck make have anything to do with engine overhaul intervals ?
And theres plenty of paccar products around that have seen in frames before 400 k .

No kidding. I'll put the life span of a well maintained series 60 up against any engine.

Yep pre emissions 60 series Detroit's and n14 Cummins are bullet proof in any truck with good maintenance.

My truck is an ex Martin milk service truck out of Wilton wis .
Good truck with an n14 525 but needed an out of frame at 800k ..I don't think it was very well cared for but still a good tight restoration truck.

I'll add one more thing , the cost of the overhaul will vary greatly as well based on brand . It can change the price by as much as 15000 .

Yep. A basic in frame for a detroit can be done for 6500 just about anywhere. Half the price of a basic inframe from cat. A complete platinum over haul from cat is 30 grand. I can buy a crate engine from Detroit for nearly half that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on cats. In a heavy haul operation they are the best. But for those of us that stay under 100k, you can't beat a 12.7 detroit
