Does it have a spot for one...You can pick up a decent dc fridge for 100 bucks at a truckstop. Get a 1500 watt inverter and a 700 watt microwave

Argosy! Hell yes! I used to see those things on our sister Tracker Boat account...

I would get a vertical fridge from coleman, I tried Igloo a few times before I went to the factory... and decided I wasnt going to waste my money on a company that is that poorly behaved.

Coleman makes a mid sized, I havent seen one in real life, but the full size is much more reliable than the Igloo... which failed several times... while the Coleman has not.

I keep it between the seats while driving, much easier to reach than a fridge in the back or strapped into the passenger seat. When I end my day, I idle the truck and put the fridge in my seat... out of the way, lets me get in and out of the passenger side with no problem, and lets me use the freidge compartment for a big blue container and a flat clear one... makes great long term storage...

Remember, shut the truck off, the ice box keeps going. 12V Drains batteries. Other hand, a real fridge shuts off and you will have stinky food. Buy enough to eat for 3 days. I use a generator which company drivers can't afford. Either way it's better than Truck Stop food.

The Coleman plug will get hot and possibly burn your truck down and will wipe out your batteries in 10 hours.

I can't say what Microwave to get but invest in a good fridge, get an Engel. It is low power, used all over the world in everything from trucking to expeditions to far away places and holds the temps really really well.

The Igloo will melt, Ive had it happen like 5 times, never with a coleman. Thats why coleman has a permanent cord and Igloo has a replaceable one...

And he is either going to have an APU or idle, this isnt the dark ages... the batteries will be fine. And the truck should have a voltage cutoff, since its a freightliner.

I have a black and decker mini fridge from Walmart and so far 6 months of use and no problems. I drive a cascadia and the cabinet is all one piece and can't be removed so my company just took out my passenger seat and that's where the fridge is at.
