Its kind of like the old rule with driving a truck in another state you had to have a permit so it would pay to check out the law of that state before you brought in a firearm, as a judge said to me once "ignorance is no excuse"
what would happen if a firearm was found in my truck

In Texas my CHL allows me to carry in my truck.
When I used to haul gas I'd have to go to some rough areas in Houston and I always had my Sig. Now I haul oil and the leases are out in BFE, just me and the cows usually, so I rarely carry it with me anymore.
My company would surely fire me if they ever found out. But jobs are plentiful, you only get one life.texasbbqbest, lfod14, Windy M Jenner and 2 others Thank this. -
Better us than some over zealous fresh from the academy sheriff.
truckon Thanks this. -
It is called a 'long sword' for a reason.
And yes, blades that long are pretty much illegal.
I'm curious why you are so afraid out here that you think you need a deadly weapon on your hip. -
Company I work for does not allow firearms in company vehicles. They did provide me with a couple cans of bear spray however since we work in remote locations. I keep one in my driver's door cause you never know when you'll encounter a crack head around town.
