He can run paper logs. Call Safety if he has to. They'll relay him thru Joplin if the QC issue doesn't get solved. Did you go over to Tucson to hang out together? It's like, what, 110 miles down I-10?

Don't worry so much. There's nearly always some bumps before the road straightens out. Conway is a good company. BTW, didn't your husband notice anything about the leaks or smoke right off, like the pre-trip and test drive? He's been driving, right? Any time you change trucks, there's that "getting familiar with my new moneymaker" process. Right?

He was given a paper log book in his orientation documents. And some runthrough time to be sure he's familiar with it. It shouldn't be an issue. Like all data software/hardware, QC has occasional problems. That's why Conway has all their trucks equipped with paper logs. Just in case.

Call Truck Assignment, tell them he's willing to accept one of the 575 new T680's. Even an auto tranny.

Stay True to Blue....LMBO....I been here a longtime at Conway Truckload...I've had bad trucks and good ones....ya just go with the flow and bumps along the way. As one driver said it straightens out after a while. They do find you the motel now via QComm and prepay them, and do all the leg work for ya,(only downside is I miss that microwave and fridge for them budget motels they now select through hotel management collaborations, lol, but I have gotten a great alternative to my fridge/microwave issue all to funny but it works), and pay ya that $75.00 a day breakdown, I can sure think of some worse situations. I will say one thing, here at Conway, they will communicate and get things squared away for you. That is better then some of the horror stories Ive heard over time and even to the present at other companies. The newer "Your Voice is Heard" Conway forum is good to use, and also the email communications, I have yet to see them just totally ignore me and not communicate an answer or get me taken care of. In the meantime I play my guitar when broke down, exercise , email, do some internet stuff, smooze up to the locals, and the list goes on...LOL

I work at Freight and all the drivers work the dock......some a little and some and whole bunch more. Line haul (our night runs) is the money maker.....we move the freight every night. 1 skid, a full set, or mt's either way. Pacing $90k this year and home every morning.......appreciate you truckload folks, it keeps me home!

It's sad hubby's truck broke down. But anyone will tell you, the only sure thing in trucking is that truck's break down. And for a perspective, I drove a brand new Freightliner. And on its 1st trip, it broke down on a scale (On the scale) in Fort Garland, CO. The truck was towed to Publo and examined by a shop. They had the truck for 4 days and could not find the problem. To boot, it ws the start of the CO state fair and I was kicked out of the hotel room.

I'd say stick with ConWay as another poster noted that the truck sat for too long.

    Good luck.
