Had a load of Penthouse mags out of Wisconsin. Canada Customs officers demanded(STEALING) extra copies. I walked away and phoned my contact at Canada Customs and when she arrived gave them the hairy eyeball and I was on my way. The extra copies I had went to certain customs departments for their files, not for officers to have a play day.

Leather chew toys, coming out of Laredo. Drove the dog crazy at the checkpoint on I-35. That inspection was so deep, that the border patrol guy still sends me Valentine's card!

I have a similar situation. I picked up a piece of pipe about 24" long & about 4" in diameter. Picked up in Ferriday, La & delivered in Houston, TX. I got to the shipper & asked where I needed to park to get loaded. We walked over about 10 ft, he bent over, picked up the pipe, handed it to me & said right where you are is fine. I signed the paper work, put it on the back floorboard (hotshot Chevy dually) & headed south.

Otherwise, while I think any commodity is normal freight (everything has to be shipped) the neatest thing I ever hauled was a flight simulator. It was for a flight training school. They bought a new one because someone put their foot through the previous one... so they said.
I hauled a snow plow (to mount on the front of a truck) to Amarillo, TX..... yep, Amarillo, TX. Upon arrival, I questioned the amount of snow needed to justify buying a snow plow in Amarillo, TX. He said we actually get a quite a lot of snow here in the pan handle.

Grubby, crb and OccamsRazor Thank this.
