Forget it. Prescriptions are now electronically transmitted direct. FIrst from your doctor's computer with notary etc to the pharm then to the pharm monitoring board which evaluates each order send in against your past actrivity to see if you are abuser, diverter or outright drug seeker.

Talking about forge paper work etc essential to trucking is a fun exercise in futile waste of time and effort.

If you were serious about it two things would happen, first people like myself who take this sort of thing pretty seriously would not want you involved in the inudstry and second off if I was to choose the other reaction and that is to laugh and make fun of forge papers etc with you then that makes me guilty too.

It's silly. Ultimately let's not fool around with this subject. There are people who do nothing but to make sure that your papers are in order. Comrade.

Yes a dot official can review your records.I probably didn't make clear my post. What I was saying is no one can go to a doctor for information about your medical history without a warrant. So if you did decide to forge a medical card no official can call your doctor to see if it's a good document. When the official did my safety audit she called the doctor on my medical card to check it my doctor would not even verify I was there.Would not give any information to the official without a warrant that was the doctor office statement to the official I was sitting right beside the dot officer at my dining room table. Now your right they have the right to ask you to show this documents and you have to provide them. They don't have the ability to verify a medical card with your doctor tho

They do not need a warrant, look at your DOT long form, (Form MCSA-5875) first page under the Privacy Act of 1974 paragraph and FMCSA, this gem is hidden in there, and you signed an acknowledgement you understand they will be released when requested within 48 hours.
"Each original (paper or electronic) completed Medical Examination Report Form must be retained on file at the office of the medical examiner for at least 3 years from the date of examination. The medical examiner must make all records and information in these files available to an authorized representative of FMCSA, or an authorized Federal, State, or local enforcement agency representative, within 48 hours after the request is made."

In Florida of i don't provide a copy of the long form to the dmv they suspend my license. Also the physical had to be done at a location that in in the national registry, and all the numbers and names better match what they have on file or it is deemed invalid.

Another note, if a grown man working in this industry for 20+ years can't afford to go get a sleep study done he has much bigger problems with his life choices than his neck size. Would i be happy about forking over that 1200 bucks, nope not at all. But if i couldn't pay it? I'd consider my life a complete failure on par with the bum begging for loose change at the exit ramp.
