Is that company? I'm 25/Hr and it goes up to 30/Hr if I break 50 hours in a 70. I average around $1200 a week because I go home all weekend.. We don't get fuel bonuses or any of the wait pay like Walmart and UPS gets, though. A family friend is 10 years in at Walmart and brings home $1800 a week because they get paid for everything; slightly less home time, but paid vacations annually..

I'm almost certain what I was told by a Barr Nunn driver was BS, but: He looked late twenties or early thirties, but said after a while he was able to get .70 OTR *company* W2. I did call a recruiter there and they said it was .55 for OTR; same with Big M(the burgandy trucks with the bulldog on the side) which I heard the same about...

From what I've seen first hand: .62+ W2 non-lease OTR at anything not a relatives company is basically a myth unless you're one of these old guys who basically sold their life to a company for cheap... Basically what you hear regarding grandfathered PTL level established companies

It really is kind of a fool move to go do OTR for .50-.60 when you can just as easily get benefits and a home life with a close-enough average check; even with little to no experience it seems... I was kind of hoping this wouldn't be the case, though....

Is that 1800 a week after tax and stuff? Because that’s 2400 before deductions at LEAST. Which is an assload of money for van.

The reason you see people complaining is because their hourly pay is something easily quantifiable. Mileage pay hides how badly you're getting screwed a little bit.

It is company but not OTR and you need 3 yrs experience.
Everybody makes the same wage but it depends what run you get daily.

OTR is broken. Plain and simple. Go local and don't look back.

It's net after 15-18 percent taken off for federal, social, medicare, and state. They might have a legal service deduction too.. There is nothing a Walmart driver doesn't get paid for from what I've seen, so it wouldn't be hard. I was told if you're really lazy you can even do five days on five days off...

Walmart is a legit company. I used to work warehouse side. I diversified into chemicals but I’ll admit Walmart logistics is competitive and filled with lifers.

I get 0.70 from Swift, only about 2000 miles/week though

You basically make what I do after taxes, but I'm 25 an hour Monday thru Friday. OTR companies act like it's some big discreet reward. 2000 for OTR means you're intentionally being shorted; especially at Swift which is a lot of DC drop and hook
