...they mean it! Watched a P line truck get taken down for running the left lane in the 80/94 construction zone. He had plenty of opportunity to move to the middle lane but kept running the left. Before too long I saw an Indiana State Trooper hauling ### in our direction and wouldn't you know it, he stopped Mr left lane, who was still running the left lane.

Seems that's the general rule no matter where you go(except Wis.) Talk about green, when I first started trucking, I ran down the express lanes on I-94 going through Chicago. Then it dawned on me why I was the only truck out there. D'OH.:biggrin_2559:

Yep. I got a verbal warning for this a couple months ago on 69. It was like 4 am, not a headlight in sight for miles, and the right lane was so pot holed up, that I thought I'd save my back and tires for a few miles. The trooper understood and just told me they've been told to watch target the lane rules.

Nice to hear some reason still exists out there.

California not so - same scenario landed me a ticket. Next time I blow a tire because of it I hope he's next to me.

Good point BV, Before they resurfaced a lot of roads in the Badger, at night, I used to run the left lane from Milwaukee to Green Bay on I-43, especially the bridge approaches, you literally had to slow down, as they'd put you in the roof. Hy. 41 wasn't much better.:biggrin_25513:
