With my system a quick power cycle is shutting down for 5-10 mins and restarting. Sometimes it takes a few tries but most of the time is a 5 min cycle of shutting down. Once it was persistent and I got out and wiped the radar down and problem solved.
maybe there is debris on the radar itself that’s causing it. So when you take the cover off your able to wipe it off. Also possibility that the front plate could be causing the issue. Try removing that and go through a few cycles.
When to move on from a company due to constant breakdowns?

Stop driving immediately, and get those trucks to a shop mister.Last edited: Dec 21, 2021
Magoo1968, Oxbow and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
I never use cruise control anyhow. Feel like I’m more aware if I just run it on my foot. Cruise I tend to lay back and start day dreaming.

Some greenhorns act like tittie baby’s . Suck it up put your time in and move on. Cruise control issues is a pretty stupid reason to leave a job.

I have cruise on my truck. Yeah I use it a lot as it allows the truck, per company settings, to run 5 mph faster. But I also found out a little secret. When I have the cruise engage to full speed and I press the pedal to the floor it’ll actually do even a half mph faster. So I get 5 1/2 mph faster this way. I press the pedal down 100% of the time. Lol I don’t even notice it. Because I want every mile per hour I can get. I really truly don’t understand your complaint original poster. I’d honestly just drive it as is And not worry about getting it into the shop until you took some extra days off.

You probably missed the part BM58 where I said that I'm 62 MPH on the foot and 65 MPH on the cruise. That's a huge deal and results in me losing money because I cannot cover the miles that I would normally cover with 3 MPH difference. That probably equates to around 20 miles per day, or 140 miles per week, or 560 miles a month that I'm missing out on.
So all the talk of my comforts aside, the time that I spend getting this fixed during my hometime (and not getting paid for it) and missing out on miles because my truck is 3 MPH slower on the foot than on the cruise, both of these things are a huge deal to me. -
1. I'm 65 MPH on the cruise and 62 MPH on the foot. This results in me losing money because I cannot run the miles that I would normally run. Yes these miles add up too.
2. I do not get paid for all the work related to breakdown when I get this fixed on my hometime. I can't ever get it fixed OTR because all the Peterbilt shops are backed up nationwide so I'de be waiting for days to even get them to look at it. So I have to get it fixed during my hometime. And I don't get paid the 1 hour to and from the terminal, the 20 minute Uber rides back and forth from the Terminal to the shop and the half hour wait that I usually have each time I order an Uber and wait for it to arrive. That time adds up.
3. It's extremely uncomfortable to me.
So talks of my comfort aside, I am losing time and money to these constant breakdowns for the exact same problem.LoneRanger Thanks this.
