Find a tanker company that runs asphalt in the summer and propane in the winter. Consistent, easy, pays well

Lol, you know what cracks me up, I’ve always heard the stereotype about how over the road truckers have a different girlfriend in every town or state or whatever. And I’m like how? How is that possible? Ever tried to even so much is coordinate a dinner date while going OTR? Even when you have a longer break? It’s almost impossible to pull it off.

Honestly all these women that worry about their man being OTR drivers, and having all these opportunities to cheat, it’s the secretary at the office with the dude that punches the time clock from 9 to 5 every day at the same place that’s got the cheating opportunities.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you just said. To be honest, I get in the most trouble only if I have too much time in any part of Tennessee, where I live. Out on the road, especially in the elog era, you never have enough time. Now.....I can see dedicated drivers having a few playmates on the road, because they have predictable routes.

That’s for sure. No time for any of that. Lucky to get a shower and good nights sleep. Actually preferable, if given the choice. My Brother in law commented once to my wife, that I had to get going to see my girlfriend. Being a Firefighter, he spent a lot of time constantly drinking at the Firehouse, working 3 days on 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off. Knowing about the groupies that hang around Firehouses, ( it’s a real thing ), and his wild hunting trips, that include strip joints and hookers. He’s got a lot of nerve, Lol. Trying to take the spotlight off himself, I suppose. Lol.

It's funny how the people who know the least about the trucking lifestyle can plant seeds in so many people's minds. Lol. You sure spoke some truth about a shower. If you're running a lot, a shower can be serendipitous. Hell I just finally got a chance to do laundry lol.

You're doing a lot better than log haulers in our area. They make pretty good money but it's not even close to what you're telling us about.

Just like all the "cool places" we get to see. A girl I was talking to said she'd love to be a truck driver so she could see all the big cities, like NYC. I said #### those big cities, I don't even look at them. I'm too busy yelling at the idiot drivers and giving them the finger. I get out of the city as fast as I possibly can

Based on what I’m paying for lumber now , it’s nice to see it trickle down to the log truck drivers ….
