I saw a place in Hanover PA unload potato trucks kinda like that. They pulled on to what looked like a scale, but then the whole platform tilted back, dumping the potatoes into this big chute.

 

Might have been UTZ ?

Frito Lay puts the box trailers up in the air also.

Actually, it was the Hanover Foods plant.

There was a sign in the scale house"ATTENTION POTATO DRIVERS!" with a bunch of instructions. It was also printed in French. I asked the guy unloading my corn syrup why French, he said they get most of their potatoes from Quebec.

NAFTA was being worked out but was not in effect at the time, so I don't know if the USA closed the potato loophole.....

 

UTZ makes awesome potato chips, IMO. Good and cheap.
