Once loaded, headed to a small fuel station in the outskirts of Los Angeles for scale... Freakin tiny fuel station as all those are in that area... And guess what... their scale didn't show individual axles... :biggrin_25512: Had to move the truck one axle at a time... Did that SEVERAL times... Because the ladies inside the building would tell me to stop before the tires were completely on the scale and that would show wrong weight... :biggrin_1square8:
AND everytime I had to repeat, would have to back on the scale, thru the fuel bay because the place was so small.... :biggrin_1square1:
I spent ONE FREAKIN HR in that fuel station to get my weight... Scaled twice, moved the tandems all the way to the front and was still showing more than 34,000 on the drives.. :angry1:

I was getting VERY PSSSSED... :angry4: Decided to go to another fuel station with a CAT scale...
So I went to Commerce... closer to LA... with all that nasty freakin traffic... :biggrin_2552: missed the street.... got lost...:biggrin_2552: but soon found my way... and got my weight again... And to my RELIEF... I was LEGAL!:blob3:

I will never go to another freakin fuel station like that one with no CAT scale... what a waste of time and headache... :angry1:

Took a dose of extra patience... and faced the traffic to get out of there...

It amazes me that those people face that every freakin day.... :biggrin_2552: That's insane...

I am pretty sure I would NEVER be a local driver in a place like that... :biggrin_25512:

My hat goes off to folks who do that... And folks like Mr. @MACK E-6 that drives in busy cities every day... and pulling DOUBLES... :yes2557:

Ahh... I'm in truck stop in Tucumcari.... Taking a 34... Will deliver on Monday somewhere in IN.. and then head to another shipper somewhere else in IN and then head to OH... and then a few more loads before I go to TN for "hometime" in the hotel... will have lots of personal affairs and errands to run during my week off... after almost 3 months on the road...

It's all a matter of what you get used to. The folks that live there have found a balance point of sorts with traffic/commute and personal life. My problem with L.A. is that I typically have no clue where I am going. Second or third time to an area takes my stress level down.

It is still just that one percent of bad drivers there.... It is just you always have 10 or 20 within sight at all times near the LA basin.

My big ### supervising the loading of the 'taters..
This is very precise work that requires constant supervision.
When the 'taters start spilling over the sides I'm almost loaded.
