Where Are You Continues, Again.....

Never heard MERP...I do hear them say Derp when someone does something dumb! My youngest just turned 18 she says stuff that I don't even bother trying to figure out! I get on her and her friends (joking) if they can't speak English then don't talk!

 

What a day today... started my clock at 6 am central and rushed to the caves in MO... but the load wasn't there... I suspected that would happen... And went to their other warehouse about 10 miles away...
My appt was at 13:00 but I let broker convince that shipper would work me in... YEAH RIGHT....

PSSS ME OFF.... Checked in with shipper at second location at 8:20 am central and was told they would try to work me in and told me to go park at their empty lot nearby... So I did... till 12:45 .....
Went back to shipper office and was told to go to their other building nearby my load would be there....
So I did.. and sat at the dock till almost 16:00...
My dispatcher has been very understanding... he will pay me extra stop, extra miles, and one hr detention...

So... after loaded decided to finish my 10 right back at the empty lot... and will hit the road at 21:00 when there's less traffic and will drive almost all my 11 so that I can make this delivery in time in California....
Going to bed right after I finish a meal here... Y'all stay safe...

 

The reason I love this thread is that I feel less alone when I have a "Bad Truckin' Day". I forget we all get 'em from time to time.

Mine wasn't even really that bad, started with the "loads at 10am, but you can pick it up early, run it down there, and get in your 10 before delivery". They DIDN'T load me early!

He probably forgot that the time showed on Google maps is for a car averaging 65 mph, not a 78,880 lb tractor-trailer averaging 45 mph up and down the hills of I-64.

All the other traffic was driving like idiots, including some of the truckers from certain infamous companies.....and a few seeming O/Os, sad to say. If the customer didn't allow me to stage here overnight for their AM delivery, I'd be in a pickle. So, prepack spaghetti from the emergency supply for dinner, call Missus Skillet, hit the rack and see how a fresh 14 looks tomorrow.

Thanks y'all. The whole rest of TTR is getting a little angsty. We've picked up 3 or 4 bobtail members of questionable experience who are thin-skinned and easily butthurt, and I just don't have the time to waste engaging with them....Rubber side down, hands.

 

Yeah they come and go regularly! When I first started getting on TTR I would engage those dummies...like talking to a brick wall. I rarely bother with most of 'em anymore! I try to stay in my lane now with folks I enjoy chatting with!

One of my all-time favorite place names. Never actually been there, just went past it on the interstate once.

 

Sounds like a kid amusements Park. Which is so disappointing once you see it. Lots of parking between the Petro and the other Truckstop there though. But no magic, rides or putt putt or anything.
