No sir... but I don't remember any more where that was.... would need to consult my paper log (yeah... I keep a paper log)... and still... would have to revisit my memory... which is not that great any more... :biggrin_25513: But I know... that was near no coast...

By the way... now I am in sunny California... will need to get the memory chip out of my phone and insert in my laptop to post a picture of the location here... cause took pictures with my cell but I don't connect to this forum with my cell... only with my laptop...

His truck is a glider and any engine that’s a 1999 or older doesn’t have to be on them.

It's a glider with a pre 99 motor which makes the truck exempt.

Hey... Mr. @otterinthewater .. and Mr. @Rugerfan ... and you folks who drive in CA.... what would be a best route to go from San Diego to San Jose on a Monday before lunch? I think would be best to avoid I-5 in the Los Angeles area... even though those other CA91 and CA71 and CA57 might be very congested as well... but I can't extend the miles too far though...

Leave San Diego at 3:30am to 4am and you’ll make great time and fly through. Leave at 5am or later and it’s a crap shoot. Sometimes the 5 to the 405 to the 110 to the 134/101 back to the 5 works. It all depends on when you depart.

It would add about 40 miles... but I would be tempted to run out I5 to I405 to US101 and run closer to the coast.
