Well that's good. Cause we all know that there ain't no trees around Lebanon TN. Meanwhile the city of Ft Worth is in danger of being wiped out by the out of control Forest down there. Sounds like a good plan.

I don't recall off hand ever having Cedar smoked anything but I'm more than willing to allow that it does sound good and I would, at least, like to try something prepared like that.
On top of that I don't like a East-West comparo because it brings to mind the enormous amounts of conflict between Communist vs any other system. Not only that but even Canada would be split the wrong way. Things are scary enough in the World as it is, can't we leave that one at bay ?
Maybe we can arrange a taste off if you know where/what I can grab off a shelf somewhere and try some Cedar ?
Even if I don't like it, I'd still declare it tied for the sake of friendship.4mer trucker, BigBob410 and Blu_Ogre Thank this. -

I do agree with @chopper103in on the fruit wood and nut woods as a good nominees for the top 10 cooking woods. I do lean toward Almond over Pecan mostly because that's what I grew up with.BigBob410, chopper103in and MagnumaMoose Thank this.
